Family Waving Goodbye As We Leave for Istanbul

Our 2016 adventures in Europe started a little early, the day before New Year's Eve, as we left the family in League City, Texas and drove to Houston's IAH airport so that we could board Turkish Airways to fly us to Istanbul! This is going to be our longest flight yet and our first time to Turkey, but we aren't staying long, our final destination is Greece - first Athens, then on to Crete where we will be living for the next three months! Our car is the little green Chevy Spark on the right. The car is staying here with family till we can return.
