Front Yard by Peoria Road

On the right is the old, majestic maple tree that dominates the front yard. To the left is its child maple that, until this past winter, was extremely full and healthy. Unfortunately the winter came with a severe ice storm and the fullness of the tree acted against it and about half of the tree was destroyed. It is sad as it was a beautiful tree and the second biggest object in the yard. It will take decades for it to even begin to look as good again as it did all throughout my childhood.
