Flat Stanley, Oreo, Dominica Miller and Thomas Alan Miller in Branch Brook Park
Branch Brook Park in Essex County, New Jersey is Newark's largest city park at 360 acres and dates from 1895 making it the first county park in the United States. The land used for the park had previously been an army training ground during the US Civil War. The park is now one of the largest urban parks in America. The park's design was made by Frederick Law Olmstead who is famous for having designed Manhattan's Central Park and Brooklyn's Prospect Park.
