Genesee and Wyoming Alco RS1 RN 30 Pulling Coal Through Tunnel
Genesee and Wyoming Railroad Alco RS1 RN 30, one of five sibling RS1 locomotives, pulls Buffalo & Pittsburgh coal hoppers through a northern Pennsylvania tunnel on their was to the steel mills of Pittsburgh in the south. This engine, number 30, was later renumbered to 41 and, in 1976 for the American bicentenial, was painted in red, white and blue and renumbered to 1976. This particular engine has since disappeared and its disposition is unknown but it is no longer running for the GNWR.
