Varusschlacht Memorial in Hasbergen

These are apparently up all over Osnabrucker Land. I walked far enough that I actually just stumbled upon one. Frieden means "Peace" and Krief means "War". The way that the signs are written is like a Germany road sign. Normally the town you are entering is written on top and the town that you have just left is written below with a red slash across it to indicate that you are no longer in that town. So this is a sign indicating that we are entering into peace and leaving war behind us.
