View from the balcony near the Grice's room, just around the corner from ours. This is the main "guitar" pool and the red building with the white stars in the main lobby. I was really much happier with the All Star resort than I thought that I was going to be. We are used to staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge or the Wilderness Lodge and were expecting this to be a bit of a disappointment but really it was very nice. Obviously you lose the ambiance of those locations and you don't get the food options but what is here is very nice. The rooms were really nice too. The only complaint was the lack of workspace for my laptop. Note to people needing to work from an All Star: bring a long Ethernet cable of your own. The other issue is how long it takes to get anywhere from here. Travel to many locations we had to allow 90 minutes to be safe!
